It’s been nearly two years since Beyonce released her chart-topping, booty-shaking self-titled album virtually overnight. And while Queen B has been busy touring the world with Jay-Z and giving us all plenty of vacation envy, she’s also been working hard on adding the finishing touches to her new partnership with Topshop that’s officially set to hit stores in March 2016.
So what can we expect? Unlike other megawatt collaborations the cool-girl retailer has delivered, this one will introduce an entirely new, 50-50 joint venture brand dubbed Parkwood Topshop Athletic Ltd., meaning there’s no denying that the songstress is in control of the pieces she’s helping create.According to WWD, the items from the new Topshop-Beyonce collection will include athleisure-inspired clothing, accessories, and footwear that embody a sporty lifestyle and are perfect for trotting from the gym to your favorite post-workout lunch stop.
“Based on what she does, how she works out, the conversation got into that category,” Topshop owner Sir Philip Green told WWDinOctober of 2014. Since then, the beloved star has shot the images for the campaign and is even testing each piece of clothing to make sure they’re fit for those wanting to look just like B. “She’s also tried everything on to make sure it’s right,” Green told WWD last week, adding that the items are currently “in production.”
Considering everything Beyonce touches turns to gold, our calendars are undoubtedly marked for this one.
