The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards Preshow hadn’t even started when Beyoncé arrived at N.Y.C.’s Madison Square Garden and proved it’s sure to be a night to remember by walking the white carpet with her 4-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter.

Queen Bey, who leads the pack of nominees with a career-high 11 nominations at tonight’s show, made a major splash when she brought her toddler as her date, both rocking some major couture. The mother-daughter duo was among the first to hit the carpet, dressed in coordinating sequined gowns.

Beyoncé stunned in a sheer baby blue dress from Italian designer Francesco Scognamiglio with a structured, feathered neckline and shoulder pads, sending the Twitter universe abuzz that she was wearing angel wings on the carpet. The singer, who will be giving a surprise performance at the show, looked fierce with a sleek, braided updo, her signature cat eye, and $12.5 million in diamonds from Lorraine Schwartz, People reports.

While Bey certainly made a statement with her structured gown, all eyes were on Blue Ivy as she walked hand-in-hand with her mom. The 4-year-old looked adorable in a champagne-toned dress with metallic detailing at the top and a tutu-like tulle train. The effortlessly cool tot paired her couture look with matching high-top sneakers, braided pigtails, and a tiara like the princess she is.
