Being nominated for Golden Globes in the same category hasn’t come between the friendship of Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence. In fact, they’re closer than ever. The besties not only sat together at the show, but they took the stage to present clips from their movies Joy and Trainwreck, both nominated for best comedy.
After hilariously sauntering onto the stage, the pair addressed the “preconceived notions” that people have of them as women in Hollywood. “Yeah, like they’re just like, oh Jen and Amy, they’re so pretty and everyone likes them and wants to hang out with them and they seem so fun to be around and they should be models,” said Schumer, after giving herself the Hollywood-friendly "A.Schu" moniker to complement BFF J.Law's.
The duo clearly knows how to poke fun at themselves, and they weren’t the only ones joking about their much talked-about friendship. “It’s like they’ve never had a friend before,” host Ricky Gervais quipped.
Gervais might not have his hosting gig for long: Twitter is calling for the best friends to take over as hosts next year. But even if they don't take the bait, we're sure to see them together again soon when the screenplay that they co-wrote hits the big screen.
