Malia Obama heads off to college in the fall (we’ll soon find out which school she picked!), so it makes sense that President Barack Obama is looking to get in a little more quality time with his daughter while he can. POTUS is bringing his "best friend," aka 17-year-old Malia, along on a three-day trip to Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, and they couldn’t have looked happier during the first leg of the cross-country outing.
The father-daughter duo was photographed on Thursday as they deplaned in Chicago and were all smiles and laughs despite the snowy weather. Malia looked fashion-forward in a pale pink coat, white tee, and high-waisted jeans as she carried a cream-colored backpack over one shoulder.
While in the Windy City, the president visited the University of Chicago Law School, where he taught constitutional law, to “participate in a discussion on the Supreme Court and the integrity of our judicial system,” according to the White House.
Considering most college acceptance notifications have been sent out, we can’t help but think that this trip could also be the perfect opportunity for the Obamas to visit schools that Malia is interested in attending. With admissions decisions largely due by May 1, it's only a matter of time until we learn where the First Daughter chooses to continue her education.
