Inside the April InStyle, on newsstands March 20, writer Chloe Fox describes how Kate Winslet is a study in contradictions. Maybe so, but in the photographs taken by Giampaolo Sgura, one thing is clear: the 39-year-old actress is stunning.
While the Oscar winner appears on our cover in a bright orange top by Ralph Lauren Collection, jade earrings by Ippolita, and gold Elsa Peretti for Tiffany & Co. bracelets (as well as a few bangles of her own), inside the magazine she wears easy pieces by Bottega Veneta, La Perla, and more, all perfect for the shoot’s seaside setting.
Having driven herself to the photo call's location near her home in West Sussex, Winslet arrived with a bare face, wearing a black Alexander Wang long-sleeve T-shirt, black Rag & Bone jeans, and Isabel Marant boots. On set, she was drawn to vibrant single- and double-finger rings by Delfina Delettrez, as well as a lilac-print Michael Kors frock from his spring collection. In between takes, she sipped Yorkshire black tea with a splash of Oatly organic oat milk, and reviewed the script for her upcoming Steve Jobs film. But it was when husband of more than two years, Ned Rocknroll, and then-13-month-old son Bear stopped by that the star slipped into her greatest role to-date: mummy.
