Shut up! The iconic film The Princess Diaries celebrates came out fifteen years ago, and we can't believe it's been that long since the world was introduced to the awkward teen-turned-poised royal Mia Thermopolis. The movie's star Anne Hathaway took to Instagram to celebrate the anniversary today, and shared a cute clip of herself from one the flick's more memorable scenes.

"It's been 15 years (say it with me) SHUT UP!!!!!" the actress wrote alongside the video. "To all the fans who have loved Mia, Louie, Lily, Joe, Michael and, of course, Queen Clarisse, thank you from the bottom of my heart! And to Garry Marshall, thank you for making me a princess. I love you always my beloved friend and teacher, and I miss you every day xx."

Just a few weeks ago the movie's director Garry Marshall passed away, and Hathaway took to social media to share a heartfelt note about the beloved filmmaker. She expressed her thanks and love for Marshall—who made her a household name—and praised his extraordinary life.
