Amal Clooney knows how to work a courtroom—and the streets of N.Y.C. The powerful human rights lawyer is in the Big Apple for the U.N. General Assembly, and she’s been schooling us all in the art of power dressing in the process.

The 38-year-old returned to her hotel on New York’s Upper East Side on Thursday in a bright pink Max Mara ruffled suit jacket and straight-leg pants, pairing the vibrant ensemble with studded pointy-toe pumps and a white leather satchel. Clooney accessorized with drop earrings and the perfect blowout.

Believe it or not, this isn’t the only bright look that the lawyer donned on Thursday: She also turned heads in a cherry-colored Proenza Schouler dress that hit just above the knee, featuring long, draped sleeves and a wrapped bow tie at the front.

Clooney has been in N.Y.C. this week alongside her husband George for the U.N. General Assembly, where she discussed her latest mission: taking ISIS on in court for acts of genocide. “I can’t imagine anything worse being done by one human to another,” she said of the terrorist organization’s acts of violence against women.
