Even after his untimely death, Alexander McQueen's life story continues to enthrall fans both in and outside of the fashion world. According to Deadline, a biopic on the late designer's spectacular rise to fame is in the works, and it is shaping up to be one amazing project.
The yet untitled film will be directed by the famed Andrew Haigh and produced by Damian Jones, who previously optioned Andrew Wilson’s biography, Alexander McQueen: Blood Beneath the Skin. However, the movie will not be based entirely on the book—it will simply include parts of the tome along with research done by playwright Chris Urch, who is penning the script.
The news comes on the heels of the successful run of the play entitled McQueen, which premiered last year in London and centered on the man's unparalleled visionary imagination.
The film is expected to begin production by the end of 2016.
