Fashion's favorite It girl is celebrating her birthday! British-import Alexa Chung turns 33 today, and she's got plenty of reasons to celebrate. Among them: She has launched her very own social style app, Villoid. Chung announced this latest project last year via a statement, saying, "I suppose that scene in Clueless where the computer puts an outfit together from Cher's wardrobe really stayed with me. Clothes are fun, making mistakes is fun, being inspired is fun. Villoid celebrates the process of getting dressed and showing your mates."
Speaking of clothing, Chung has a lot of experience designing apparel. Having launched collaborations with AG, Madewell, and now Ugg, it's pretty obvious the girl has talent, so it made perfect sense when she announced this summer that she's creating her own fashion brand. The eponymous label, Alexachung, will launch in May 2017, and Chung will serve as the brand's creative director.
"I see this being the culmination of a lot of hard work for a decade and this being the resting place for all of those ideas and to continue kind of developing and growing that, just in this one home base space," she told the U.K.'s Business of Fashion.
Aside from her many designing prowess, Chung's personal style—not to mention her hairstyle—inspires legions of fans and fashion aficionados. Don't believe us? Take a peek at her changing looks to see precisely why she's worthy of imitation. Happy birthday, Alexa!
