Adele let us know yesterday via Twitter (twice!) that she recorded the new theme song for the next Bond film, Skyfall (out in theaters Nov. 9), and that the track would be available this Friday here. But someone beat her to the draw: 30 seconds of the track has leaked online, and you can listen to it on the BBC. Each film's theme song is a pivotal element of the iconic opening credit sequences, and through the years, giant contemporary musical artists have been tapped to write and/or perform it: Madonna, Carly Simon, Tina Turner, and Nancy Sinatra have all recorded their own versions. Adele's powerful but melancholy voice will provide the backdrop for what the usual female-driven montage (perhaps featuring new Bond girl and InStyle favorite Bérénice Marlohe?). Listen to the leaked track here and tell us: do you like Adele as the newest musical Bond girl?
