Maroon 5 just released a new music video, and it stars Adam Levine alongside his wife, model Behati Prinsloo. Between filming the video earlier this month, preparing for his band's upcoming world tour, and being a coach on The Voice, Levine has been busy since his July wedding to Prinsloo.
In the chilling video for the track "Animals" from the band's V album, Levine portrays a butcher who obsesses over a customer; the footage begins with the Maroon 5 frontman watching and snapping photos of an unaware Prinsloo as she walks on the streets and sleeps at home. After he approaches her in a bar and is rejected, the video cuts between shots of Levine singing and shadowboxing in a meat freezer to steamy bed scenes with the newlyweds.
It's directed by Samuel Bayer, who also helmed music videos for songs such as Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and Justin Timberlake's "What Goes Around ... Comes Around."
