The Queen and Kate Middleton have a lot in common: they are two major female figures in the English royal family, they both rock a crown now and again, and they both pose very similarly in iconic photos.

For example, in 1947, then-princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip waved from the balcony of Buckingham Palace following their wedding ceremony. Almost 64 years later, Prince William and his new wife, Kate Middleton did the same on their wedding day. Other activities that both couples took part in throughout their years in the royal spotlight include going to hockey games, traveling the South Pacific, and posing with their newborns at their christening ceremonies.
