Bored of your winter coat already? Putting on the same black topper every day can be a real downer. If you're in need of a fashion boost, try one of these three easy styling tricks taken straight from the street. Each of the following simple wardrobe updates will make your outerwear exciting again—and, bonus, keep you nice and warm.

1. Just Add Fur

Real or faux, a little bit of fur will add the feel of warmth that you need to make it through the winter months.

2. Wear a Blanket

Burberry showed this beautifully on the fall runway, but its easy to do. Just toss it over your coat, like a giant scarf and go.

3. Combine a Jacket and Coat

If its really cold, why not wear two coats. The trick here is to make sure that the jacket is slim fitting to not add to much bulk and that the coat is nice an roomy.
