The safest color to wear on the red carpet is black, by far. And while many stars did opt to wear black gowns at the 2016 SAG Awards (Rooney Mara, Jessica Pare, Amy Poehler to name a few), only three dared to unexpectedly wear one of the louder, and thus, riskier shades out there—hot pink. Not only does the bold hue clash with the red carpet, but it's one that's hard to pull off with grace. But these three celebrities did the near impossible, and for that, we applaud them.
Sofia Vergara made quite a statement (as she's known to do) in a fuchsia corseted Vera Wang column with a chunky gold David Webb necklace and a color-coordinated Jimmy Choo clutch. Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke was also thinking pink—she slipped on a plunging fuchsia Dior Haute Couture ball gown, while Orange is the New Black star Diana Guerrero struck a fierce pose in a strapless hot pink gown with a trumpeted hem. Love!
