We unveil inspiring ideas culled from celebrity weddings from Spring 2005
Why should guests simply cool their heels while waiting for the main event, when they could cool off with a refreshing drink? Pre-ceremony parties give people a chance to mingle, and allow latecomersincluding bridesto make a graceful entrance. Before Tori Spelling's wedding, guests enjoyed champagne, mint juleps and limeade in an all-white lounge. Gena Lee Nolin provided glasses of iced tea, champagne and lemonade at her Phoenix wedding. And for Katey Sagal's wedding at her Los Angeles home, guests sipped lavender-hibiscus lemonade from Mason jars before the outdoor "I dos." Says Sagal's planner, Apryl Prose, of the colorful libations: "They make a nice first impressionand get the celebration started."
