Stylist Kevin Woon, a favorite of Claire Danes and Selma Blair, shows nine stunning ways to embellish your wedding day tresses.
Ribboned Band
These ornate pieces look especially charming when their ribbons are visible in the back, so short styles are ideal. But here Woon made the band work with longer hair by creating a chic upsweep. After setting the hair with rollers, he back-combed until it looked significantly shorter, then spritzed the result with hairspray. Next Woon drew the band around the front of the head, just above the hairline, and tied the ribbons in a knot underneath the hair in back.
Filigree-and-ribbon headband with Swarovski crystals and pearls, Maria Elena, $810; 310-717-3404 for stores.
