Stylish stars are making beautiful music on the red carpet in pressed accordion pleats. Emmy Rossum wore a floor-grazing dress from Carmen Marc Valvo to a recent fashion show. "The gown was inspired by the clean lines and architecture of mid-century modern design," says Valvo. "Even though it's made of a structured fabric, the accordion pleating gives it wonderful movement." Rossum gave the gown a youthful spin with casual styling. Says Valvo, "I loved the nonchalant way she wore [the dress] with her hair up in a ponytail and with the big leather belt."
