Matchmakers, drop your swatches—the latest color combinations are all about clash. "I love high contrast," says stylist Robert Verdi. "It's just more interesting at a moment when people are feeling more daring and original." He chose a yellow Gustavo Cadile dress and green satin Rickard Shah shoes for his client Eva Longoria. "The skirt looked like a yellow tulip and the shoes were like the green stem," says Verdi. They limited her accessories to an understated diamond watch and earrings. "Let the outfit be about color and keep the rest of the look pretty clean," says Verdi. And forget pastels:"If you're going to use color, use vivid colors."
