WHAT TO LOOK FOR Classic trousers take a trip to the chopping block this season. The result? Delightfully dandy cropped pants tricked up with pinstripes, ruched pockets or sailor-style buttons.
HOW TO WEAR THEM Make it a short order. On top, pair with a form-fitting jacket or cashmere sweater. On the bottom, wear knee-high boots with the shorter pairs, ankle boots (or opaque tights and high-heel sandals) with the longer ones. Then again, you could always just show a little leg.
