Following in the footsteps of low-key celebrities like Matt Damon, Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo wed music producer Chris Ivery at City Hall in New York City on Friday, November 9th. The Boston Globe reports that the couple, who met at an L.A. grocery store in 2003, were married by a city clerk, with New York mayor Michael Bloomberg stepping in as a witness. Two days after the ceremony, Pompeo and Ivery were spotted courtside at a New York Knicks basketball game. "A wedding is a piece of paper," Pompeo told reporters in September. "I don't need a big dress or 400 people to declare my love."
