For the brightest stars in the indie film universe, attending the Independent Spirit Awards was a day at the beach. Rosario Dawson, Zach Braff, Sharon Stone, Christina Ricci, Ryan Gosling, Matt Dillon and Rachel Bilson strolled a light blue carpet that matched the Saturday sky on their way to the tent where trophies were handed out to the year's best little films that could—and did. Heath Ledger beamed as Best Female nominee Michelle Williams—who sported the latest pixie hair trend—stopped for photographers. "Don’t look into the camera and tell your kids to go to bed because it’s 2," host Sarah Silverman advised the potential winners during her raunchy opening monologue.
