When Parker presented the award for Breakthrough Performance to a Prada-clad Jennifer Hudson, she seemed to be speaking for Dreamgirls fans everywhere. "We can only sit back and wait to see where she takes us next," Parker said, calling Hudson "an extraordinary vocal talent." Other guests at the Bulgari-sponsored event included Penélope Cruz, Parker Posey and Bette Midler. Bulgari Freedom of Expression awards—specially designed by the luxury jewelry company—were presented to World Trade Center director Oliver Stone and Water director Deepa Mehta.
