The Material Girl was one of the first to take notice of designers Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce—know collectively as Dolce & Gabbana—in the eighties. "Madonna wore our clothes and put Stefano and me in the limelight," Dolce has said. More than 20 years later, Madge is still loyal—at the opening night concert for her new album, Hard Candy, she and all of her backup dancers wore exclusive designs from the duo.
