"This is my first time here," said Eva Mendes, who made a dramatic entrance in a bold blue YSL gown. "I'm just learning about opera and I'm very excited." The fashion house—which provided each of its celebrity guests with a to-die-for dress for the occasion—is set to sponsor a new gala production at the Met for each of the next three seasons.
