"I just like to have a good time!" said Louis Vuitton artistic director Marc Jacobs, who gathered some A-list friends to celebrate his couture collaboration with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. The event was a chance for hip Hollywood stars like Christina Ricci, Kerry Washington and Owen Wilson to mingle and marvel at the "© Murakami" exhibit inside the transformed Geffen Contemporary gallery. After the art appreciation, guests flooded the temporary dance floor to watch a performance by Kanye West, making this no ordinary night at the museum. "In working with a company that is as classic as Vuitton, it's important to be respectful," Jacobs mused as he surveyed the fashion crowd. "But at the same time, it's important to be rebellious."
