An understated black carpet at L.A.'s Four Seasons hotel saw as much traffic as a glamorous awards show at the Elle magazine annual Women in Hollywood dinner. Attending admirers like Jessica Alba honored leading ladies Jennifer Connelly, Amy Adams and Kate Bosworth, while putting their best fashion forward. "I just tried it on," said Alba of her midnight-hued Lanvin dress as she posed next to woman of the hour Scarlett Johansson.
