Spike Lee layered on the LOVE bracelets to show his support for several charities. The filmmaker's own purple design—released at the first LOVE dinner in 2006—benefits the Maurice Kanbar Institute of Film & Television at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Lee received his Master's degree from the prestigious film school and is now a member of the faculty.
