Cipriani Midtown in Manhattan was host to flocks of well-turned-out celebrities for the Fashion Group International’s Night of Stars. Mariska Hargitay donned Carolina Herrera to present an award to the designer. “I went home, showered, wrote my speech, nursed my child and talked to my husband,” she said of her preparations. “Since I had a baby, I’m a superhero!” Other stylish (and maternally inclined) superheroes included Julianne Moore and Gwyneth Paltrow, both in YSL. Anne Hathaway wore Zac Posen to present the Fashion Oracle award to stylist Rachel Zoe. Her own oracle? “I wish I could be Selma Blair,” she said. “My friends and I call her Saint Selma!” Other fashionistas in attendance included Mischa Barton, Iman, Emmy Rossum, Stephanie Seymour, Karen Elson, Narciso Rodriguez, Alek Wek, Nicole Miller, Marchesa’s Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman, Peter Som, Alice Roi, Stefano Pilati, Catherine Malandrino, Behnaz Sarafpour and Michael Kors.
