11: PRADA "WAIST DOWN: SKIRTS" OPENING IN L.A.

Miuccia Prada chatted warmly with guests (she was spotted perching on the store’s main staircase, deep in conversation with Courtney Love), making the rounds in her own navy Prada dress, which she wore with an armful of white bangle bracelets. Lindsay Lohan got into an animated conversation with statuesque Rebecca Romijn, and Amber Valletta was seen slouching down to talk to tiny Nicole Richie. Guests quaffed Veuve Clicquot champagne and cocktails made with Pimm’s while enjoying beef kabobs and a seafood bar loaded with shrimp. Seventies rock and disco played as visitors checked out the displays, which included skirts spinning from the ceiling, glowing on lit-up mannequins and marching the length of the grand staircase in photograph form.
