18: 11TH ANNUAL GQ MEN OF THE YEAR AWARDS

GQ crowned this year’s coolest celebrities with a party meant to last until the wee hours. “The party is supposed to end at 4:00,” Marley Shelton observed. “I looked at the itinerary and I thought, 'You gotta love GQ!'” The event, held at the Sunset Tower Hotel, kicked off with a cocktail party in the Tower Bar, a dark paneled space that was once the lair of notorious gangster Bugsy Siegel. Guests were passed savory hors d’ouevres until it was time for a candlelit four-course meal, held in the Terrace. “I hear the food is free,” Comeback honoree Ben Affleck cracked. Other guests included Jennifer Garner, Will Ferrell, Leonardo DiCaprio, Al Gore, Jay-Z, Jennifer Connelly, Jessica Biel, Forest Whitaker, Maria Bello, Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Nick Cannon and a fashionably late Lindsay Lohan.
