19: MARIE ANTOINETTE SCREENING AND AFTER-PARTY

The screening, hosted by director Sofia Coppola, was pure style, right down to the Chanel-logo popcorn bags (who knew the luxury brand had a sense of humor?). The opulent after-party included an outdoor VIP area lighted by chandeliers hung from canopies. Friends of the film lounged in faux 18th-century seating while indulging in cotton candy, lemon tarts, mini-cupcakes, homemade marshmallows and Perrier Jouët champagne. A soundtrack of '80s remixes inspired Drew Barrymore to hit the dance floor with members of the Strokes. The party didn’t end until the bubbly ran out. It’s safe to say that Marie Antoinette herself would have been proud.
