When Melissa McCarthy made her Oscar-nominated turn as Megan in Bridesmaids, she famously modeled her character after Food Network chef Guy Fieri. Meaning—no makeup, pulled-back hair, a bowling shirt and a surgical brace on wrist. Ironically, the kudos she's earned for this decidedly non-stylish role have paved the way for a glam new routine. As the she told Entertainment Weekly, "My [4-year-old] daughter gets a big kick out of it when I get dressed up, because she literally is like, 'What's that? What do you call that on top of your head?' And I'm like, 'That's my hair.' I think it was the first time she hadn't seen my hair pulled back in a Helga bun." With numerous projects on the docket, including continuing her Emmy-winning role on Mike & Molly, the Helga bun (and Guy Fieri) are history.
