It's fitting that Zoe Saldana went blue for her blockbuster role in Avatar—the New Jersey-born star has a love of color inspired by a childhood spent abroad. "Growing up in the Dominican Republic, I learned to embrace color, drama and flair," Saldana has told InStyle. The actress plays up her flawless complexion with bright shades of purple, pink and—her hue of choice—red: "It has always been my favorite. It's so alive and present and like, 'I'm here!'"
