Transformation

Rebecca Romijn loves to play dress-up, so it's no wonder she's attracted to roles that require major transformation. She sported a full-face scar in Rollerball and spent eight-hours a day being covered in blue body paint in order to play X-Men's Mystique. "Under professional circumstances, I love makeup. I live for it," the actress has said. "But in my personal life, I don't think about it much, which is freeing." The blonde plays with shimmer for her jaunts down the red carpet, highlighting her considerable natural beauty with shades of peach and gold. After all, with twin newborns and her ABC series Eastwick, it's best to keep things simple. Good thing, then, that she feels, "most beautiful when I wake up in the morning. My lips are all puffy and full, my hair is all a mess." There's always time for dress-up later.

The 5'11" Berkeley High senior was such a standout, she has joked that her nickname was the "Jolly Blonde Giant."
