Justin Bieber's voice made him a star, but it was his signature shag that made him an icon. "There are different variations, but it is definitely about the swoop in the front," his hairstylist Vanessa Price told the
Vancouver Sun. Her inspiration came straight from the teen idol canon. "That haircut has always been around," she said. "Look at the Beatles and, more recently, Zac Efron. But it was our own take on it based on Justin's style and his hair texture and it kind of worked." Worked it did, but as the Bieber clones multiplied, and the star approached his 17th birthday, the duo changed up his look, cropping off the famous fringe. "We really orchestrate his hairstyle together," Price told
People. "He knows what he wants and I know what will work best with his features and hair type." Sounds like a match made in hair heaven!
"I blow dry it and it takes like two minutes," Bieber said of his trendsetting 'do.
