Achieved at a two-chair salon in her hometown of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, the look both drew criticism and sparked countless imitators. Then, rebranding herself as Clean-Slate Kate following her 2009 divorce, she got long, straight extensions from stylist Ted Gibson. "She had the most iconic haircut since the Rachel and I am glad to have made her over," says Gibson. "Like most women, she loves longer hair."
