While Cheryl Cole originally rose to fame after joining British girl band Girls Aloud, she caught the attention of people worldwide with her musical talent, bright smile, and flawless hair. "I think Cheryl Cole's personality would translate really well in America," fellow X Factor judge Simon Cowell told People. Although her time as a judge for the American X Factor was brief and the members of Girls Aloud have gone their separate ways, Cole still keeps in touch with her fellow bandmates, and fans everywhere are excited for the release of her third solo album, A Million Lights.

Cole was interested in dancing from a young age, and joined The Royal Ballet's summer school when she was nine.
