Long before she sashayed her way onto the small screen as Joan Holloway in Mad Men, Christina Hendricks had cultivated her career-making red strands. In fact, at the age of ten, she made the executive decision to kiss her bleach blond hair goodbye. "There was something that spoke to me about [Anne of Green Gables], and I wanted to have her beautiful red hair," the actress told the Los Angeles Times Magazine. Her mother approved of the dye job and Hendricks never looked back. "I went back [to that color] over and over again."
