Some starlets steal the scene with plunging necklines and pounds of makeup. Others do it with poreless complexions and an innate, impeccable sense of elegance.
Anna Kendrick falls into the second category. For big events, the Oscar-nominee turns to romantic updos and whisper-light makeup, while still being ready to take a risk. "Anna isn't afraid to try new things and doesn't take dressing up too seriously," says her hairstylist Craig Gangi. Her main objective is simply to highlight her own brand of beauty. "Anna is a great role model for young women who don't want to get a look that resembles everyone else's," says makeup artist Sara Glick. "She's a real individual."
Already a Tony Award nominee at the age of 13, the Broadway actress celebrated her big-screen debut in Camp with an understated look. "Anna blew out her curly hair to make it straight and clipped her hair back on one side," says her hairstylist Craig Gangi.
