The fresh-faced beauty ("on weekends I try to not wear any makeup") scored her first leading role, as Jack on the TV series Jack & Jill.
Amanda Peet doesn't mind cracking wise about her enviable beauty. "Makeup artists always want to take my eyebrows away," she has said of her trademark arches. "They practically come at me with a lawn mower." And of her knockout smile? "People started calling me Mr. Ed." But with a happy marriage to screenwriter David Benioff, two daughters and a successful career, Peet is clearly not complaining. "She has everything right now," says her hairstylist, Tracey Cunningham, including a look that "blows you away." Though the 40-year-old has experimented with bangs and blond streaks, the actress likes to keep it simple: "Less is more; most women look more beautiful in their natural state." And that's no joke.
