WHO: Emma Stone wore petal pink shadow to the 84th Annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles.
WHY IT WORKS: Stone's pastel eyes looked less Barbie-ish and more sophisticated thanks to a little definition. "Pink eye shadows on their own tend to make eyes look sickly," said Rachel Goodwin, who created Stone's look. "What really grounded the shadow was the winged-out black eyeliner. Especially if you have light eyes like Emma, even a thin swipe of liner will tie the look together."
