The Tidy Twist

Hairstylist Giannandrea gave Drew Barrymore this sleek, tight style for the 2010 Golden Globes.

STEP ONE Part hair on the side; slick down by combing with a hairspray-coated round brush.
STEP TWO Using the part as your guide, divide the hair in two uneven sections. Gather the larger one at the crown of your head, and begin twisting inwards, adding small sections from the opposite side as you work your way down.
STEP THREE At the nape of your neck, tuck the remaining hair up and under and secure with a u-shaped hairpin, which are available at most drugstores. The style works best on those with shoulder-length hair.
