Best supporting actress nominee Amy Adams (in Valentino) recalled getting some fashion advice from the real-life inspiration behind her character in The Fighter. "I was able to meet Charlene and she was awesome. She didn't really give me any advice, but she did ask me not to wear fishnets," Adams joked. "Unfortunately, [director] David Russell disagreed with her and I wore the fishnets."
