If You're Wearing Floral Prints

Floral prints, like the dress seen on Jessica Alba, can be balanced in two ways: Either play up the delicate touches with a soft coordinating hues, or give the feminine look extra edge with a smoky eye. Alba's makeup artist Fiona Stiles went for both effects, pairing the star's dark slate shadow with a glossy pink lip. Although the rosy hue is mirrored on Alba's gown, the sheer, shiny finish keeps the look grounded.
