If You're Wearing Sequins

To sparkle, or not to sparkle? That is the question when debating makeup options for a high-shine dress. For the holiday season, you can get away with adding a little extra glitter to your look, but the key lies in moderation. Case in point: Kerry Washington concentrated most of the sparkle on her eyes, and went for sheer finishes on the rest of her face. "Our inspiration revolved around her dress," says makeup artist Carola Gonzalez. "She wanted to do a completely different look from last year's Emmy Awards, so no dark lips!"
