Edgy nails are an easy way to add some drama for an evening soiree. Look for a deep shade like Anne Hathaway’s or try a gunmetal or rich silver shade. If you get your nails professionally done, make sure you have a similar color at home for emergency touch-ups. If you apply your own polish, let each coat dry for one minute before applying the next, says Dashing Diva’s Alisha Rimando. “This lets the solvents from the polish evaporate, creating a hard coat of color.” And keep in mind that dark polish looks best on short, well groomed nails.
