For an elegant holiday event, a simple jeweled headband or tiara immediately adds sophistication to haphazard waves. Fabrice Gilli, creative director of Frederic Fekkai SoHo, loves the contrast of the jewels with the messy waves. "Just make sure the curls that frame the face are done with a curling iron to make it look polished," says Gilli. He says to tease the hair on top of the head to support the tiara, and pin it in place with bobby pins.
