Julianne Hough

Julianne Hough’s futuristic updo was the brainchild of hairstylist Riawna Capri, who built lift at the root with a mix of UNITE EXPANDA Volume ($27.50; unitehair.com), UNITE EXPANDA Dust ($26.25 at unitehair.com), and some good old fashioned backcombing. He then parted the hair along both temples, twisting each side back towards the nape in two sections. To style the center, he twisted the front three inches of hair to the left and pinned. The second section was twisted and pinned to the left. By alternating sides, Capri formed a “twisted Mohawk.” He pulled and teased small wisps for additional texture.
