“I wanted to give the hair a slightly textured, lived-in feel, but still keep it elegant,” hairstylist Mara Roszak said of the rumpled waves she created for Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery. She misted Kerastase Volumactive ($39; kerastase-usa.com) on damp hair before rough-drying and adding pin curls. Once dry, Roszak removed the pins and added more waves with a small curling iron, being sure to leave the ends out. To give the look a messy, undone finish, the hairstylist worked a dab of Kerastase Pâté Capital Force ($33; kerastase-usa.com) onto the strands and finished with a blast of hairspray.
