THE SCOOP: This landmark, built in 1931, once housed Hollywood legends Jean Harlow and Marilyn Monroe, and nearly eight decades later, stars and tastemakers are still using it as a gathering place for drinks and parties. Last year, In Style threw a Globes fete for NBC's Heroes and talent agency CAA chose this spot for their late-night Globes bash. This season, the hotel and bar are sure to be home to many events, but you don't have to have an invite to check out their new cocktail, The Capote—Plymouth gin, St. Germain Elderflower liqueur, red grapes, fresh lime and club soda ($16). And yes, Truman Capote also once lived here.
